Cookies & storage choices
Cookies & storage choices.
An Austin yard cleanup enquiry does not require permission for advertising storage. Buzent uses paid advertising to reach people looking for yard care in Austin, Texas. You decide whether optional storage is allowed.
Last updated
The choice applies to measurement, not whether Buzent will read your message. You can browse yard care and seasonal work, use the enquiry form or send an email after declining. No payment is taken here.
Cookies are one kind of browser storage. Local storage can also remember a setting or reconnect a conversation. This notice covers both, and distinguishes them from information in a link and records kept on the server.
How do I change my choice?
Choose Allow storage or Decline. Neither choice prevents you from reading the site.
Allow storage gives permission for optional advertising and analytics storage and the related consent signals. Decline refuses that permission. If you previously allowed storage, choosing Decline now withdraws it. There is no need to start a chat or send a data request to change this browser's choice.
Storage preferences for this browser
The same controls are available in the storage banner. You can reopen them through Cookie preferences in the footer of every page.
Optional advertising and analytics storage stays denied until you allow it.
Global Privacy Control, including the Sec-GPC header, is honoured as an opt-out without asking again. A privacy signal is not treated as an invitation to keep prompting you.
The choice is stored under site_consent_v2 for 6 months. Nothing else on this site persists a consent choice. Clearing that key clears the remembered setting; it does not grant permission. Another browser or device has its own storage, so a choice made here is not automatically a choice everywhere.
What do you keep?
A remembered choice is not an advertising profile. A chat token is not an ad click.
Strictly necessary storage records whether you allowed or declined optional storage. Functional chat storage lets you return to a conversation you started. Neither is used as a substitute for advertising consent. The chat token is kept in local storage to connect the browser to the existing conversation; it is not used for advertising.
Analytics storage concerns measurement of visits and activity on the pages. Advertising storage concerns attribution and permitted advertising use. These optional categories are controlled together by the Allow storage and Decline controls. There is no requirement to allow them to ask about seasonal yard cleanup in Austin.
A server receives some technical information to deliver a page even when optional storage is declined. Likewise, a message you submit needs to reach Buzent to be answered. The checkbox allowing use of your enquiry details is not permission to turn on ad storage. The two decisions serve different purposes.
Which names might I see?
The table names the consent key and functional chat token, then identifies the click parameters carried in advertising links. A parameter in a URL is not itself a cookie. Browser storage and a server record of that URL are also different things.
On a narrow screen, scroll the table within its frame. The duration column distinguishes the site's fixed retention periods from storage controlled by a browser or advertising provider.
| Name or item | Who sets it | Purpose and choice | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
site_consent_v2 | Buzent | Remembers allow or decline. Necessary to respect the recorded storage choice. | 6 months, unless removed earlier from the browser. |
buzent_chat_token | Buzent support chat | Returns this browser to its conversation. Stored in local storage; not used for advertising. | Browser copy persists until cleared. The associated chat transcript is retained for 18 months. |
gclid | Google Ads | Click identifier in the incoming URL. Optional browser retention requires permission. | The URL value has no cookie expiry of its own. Later platform storage follows Google settings and policy. |
msclkid | Microsoft Advertising | Click identifier used for attribution from a Microsoft advertising link. Optional storage requires permission. | The parameter lasts with the URL carrying it. Microsoft governs any subsequent platform storage. |
fbclid | Meta Ads | Identifies a click from Meta advertising. Optional browser storage requires permission. | No independent cookie expiry for the URL parameter. Meta's settings and policy govern platform storage. |
Buzent does not retain gclid, msclkid or fbclid in local storage or session storage before permission. Seeing one in the address bar does not establish that optional storage has been allowed. A browser history entry can still contain the full link you opened.
Server and access logs are kept for 30 days. Enquiries and their email copies are kept for 18 months, including the referring URL recorded with a submission. Those are server records, not additional cookies. See the privacy notice for their purposes and your rights.
Why is there an identifier in my link?
Paid clicks need attribution. Storage permission still comes first.
Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Meta Ads send traffic to buzent.com. A Google Ads link can attach gclid; a Microsoft Advertising link can attach msclkid; a Meta Ads link can attach fbclid. These values identify an advertising click rather than describe the plants in your yard.
Attribution connects a visit or permitted measurement event with the advertising that brought it here. For example, an ad for yard cleanup in Austin leads to the service information, rather than a checkout. An inquiry remains a request for discussion; measurement does not mean that work has been booked or paid for.
Optional analytics and advertising storage are not enabled merely because you arrived through an ad. Consent signals are sent to the advertising setup, and the visitor's choice controls the permitted storage. The provider notices below explain what those organisations do with the information they receive.
What does denied actually mean?
Buzent uses Consent Mode v2. Before you allow storage, all four signals below are held denied. Allow storage changes the permission for optional storage and related use. Declining or withdrawing sets ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage back to denied at that moment.
- ad_storage
- Permission for storage used in advertising measurement and attribution. It starts denied.
- ad_user_data
- Permission to send user data to Google for advertising purposes. It starts denied.
- ad_personalization
- Permission for personalised advertising use. It starts denied.
- analytics_storage
- Permission for storage used to measure visits and site activity. It starts denied.
Denied does not mean there are no network requests. A page request and consent-state signals can still be sent, and providers can receive limited measurement requests according to their implementation. The setting is a restriction on permitted storage and use, not a claim that the browser is disconnected from every advertising service.
The consent mode default is applied before optional storage and tracking initialization. A declined choice is not changed to allowed by opening another page, submitting an enquiry or opening support chat.
What happens if I decline?
You keep access to the site. Optional storage is not authorised.
The service catalogue remains readable and the job enquiry form remains available. Phone and email links keep working. Support chat can still use the functional token needed for a conversation you choose to start. The record of your declined choice remains so the site can respect it.
All four Consent Mode v2 signals are denied. Optional advertising and analytics storage stops being permitted, including after a previous allowance. Declining does not erase a message already sent to Buzent, and it does not undo information already processed lawfully by a platform before withdrawal.
To remove existing browser records, use your browser's site-data controls for buzent.com. Removing functional chat storage can mean this browser no longer reconnects to the conversation. Removing a token is not a request to delete the server transcript. For that, use the email data-request route.
Browser blocking settings can affect how preference controls or chat remember state. If the controls cannot retain a setting, do not assume you have given permission: the default remains denied. You can send a yard-care question directly to office@buzent.com instead.
Who else receives information?
Advertising providers receive the consent and measurement information applicable to their campaigns. They have their own privacy documents. The site's host delivers pages and holds enquiry records; the mail provider carries enquiry notifications to Buzent's inbox. Those functional services are not the same as ad personalisation.
What does Google receive?
Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC operates Google Ads. Its links use gclid, and its measurement receives consent signals. Google describes its handling of advertising and service information at policies.google.com.
What does Microsoft receive?
Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd operates Microsoft Advertising. Links can carry msclkid. Microsoft's handling of the data it receives is covered by its privacy statement at privacy.microsoft.com, including its advertising services and available privacy choices.
What does Meta receive?
Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd operates Meta Ads, whose links can carry fbclid. Meta receives the advertising information applicable where a campaign runs there. Its policy explains its own handling, which is separate from Buzent retaining a yard-work message.
Withdrawing on buzent.com changes this site's permission state. It does not change an advertising account setting held directly with Google, Microsoft or Meta. Use the provider's privacy choices for information it handles independently.
When did this notice take effect?
This notice takes effect on . The date at the top changes when the notice is revised. The categories above describe the site's current advertising and storage, not an advertising arrangement proposed for some later date.
The privacy notice covers the messages and technical records behind these choices. The service terms explain how an inquiry becomes an agreed job. Neither document makes optional advertising storage a condition of asking Buzent about work.
Who can answer a storage question?
Email Buzent at office@buzent.com. Give the name of the cookie or storage key, the page where you saw it and whether you had allowed or declined storage. Do not send the full value of a chat token. It connects a browser to a private conversation.
You can also call +1 (530) 555-3208 or write to Buzent, 156 Market Street, Austin, Texas 10342, Austin, Texas, United States. For access to, correction of or deletion of personal information, the data-request instructions give a direct email route. Data requests are answered within 14 days.
